Hazel Litzgus at Columbia Assisted Living

Artist Hazel Litzgus presented a lecture about her paintings, process and inspiration at Columbia Assisted Living in Lethbridge, AB. 15 residents attended the event, which focused on audience participation. After Hazel’s lecture, and readings from her book, the TREX manager led a round table discussion with each audience member sharing memories from their childhood. After the round table, Hazel met with residents who were interested in sharing their own artwork.

This TREX event was very successful and well-received, Hazel’s paintings resonated with the participants, most of which who had grown up on a farm in Alberta during the depression. Columbia Assisted Living no longer receives funding for events of this nature, and they were pleased we approached them with a funded opportunity.  We had a great time!
